Mike Hamers is an accomplished technical illustrator and graphic designer with 35 years of publishing experience. He has worked on staff for several Fortune 500 companies including Harley-Davidson, American Motors and Ball Aerospace.

In 1992 Mike started Lightspeed Commercial Arts and since has performed contract illustration and technical manual production for a host of manufacturers and researchers including: Alaska Clean Seas, BP, Bucyrus-Erie, Durect, Ensign Energy, Great Valley Energy, IBM, Ingersol Rand, International Assn. of Drilling Contractors (IADC), Medtronic, Metron-Farnier (Single-Jet Meters), miRagen Therapeutics, Mobil Oil, National Science Foundation, RX Kinetics, Shell Oil, Transparent Technologies (AMR technology), University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Utah, Wired Magazine, and Xerox.

Mike has also helped scientists, engineers, and publishers prepare the artwork and photos for many books and powerpoint presentations in the areas of biofuels/alternative energy, nanoscience, bioscience, and biotechnology.
